Historica Edizioni (www.historicaedizioni.com) announces the first edition of the “New York Short Stories” literary contest for all the authors from the state of New York.
ONLY SECTION: FICTION — We are accepting open-themed short stories which do not exceed the length of 8 typewritten pages (1 page = 30 lines with 60 keystrokes each). Exceptions are allowed if the texts only slightly exceeds the given limit. Each writer can only submit one short story.
SHORT STORIES — The stories must be written in English and must be original and unpublished. Authors of all nationalities may take part to the contest, as long as they are resident or domiciled in the state of New York. Short stories already awarded in other contests may take part to the contest.
HOW TO SUBMIT THE SHORT STORIES — The authors must submit the file in Word format completing it with name, surname, address, phone number and contest name and send it to the following mail address: nyshortstories@gmail.com
CONDITIONS FOR PARTECIPATION — The partecipation is free and open to anyone who is resident or domiciled in the state of New York.
TERMS FOR SUBMISSION — The short stories must be submitted on October the 10th 2018 at the latest.
WINNERS NOMINATION — An email with the positive response will be send to the winning authors.
PRIZES — The selected short stories will be published by Historica Edizioni in a book which will be presented in an award ceremony. Furthermore, the book will be for sale on the main online book-stores and in a number of selected New York bookstores.
COPYRIGHTS — The copyright of every short story remains property of the respective author.
